Herbie and the Fellas’ Trip to Cantaloupe Island

The legendary Herbie Hancock leads a group of jazz greats (Pat Metheny on guitar, Dave Holland on bass and Jack DeJonette on drums) in this ripping version of his 1960′s classic, Cantaloupe Island. No one build tension in the left hand like Herbie. This piano solo is one of his all-time best.  Check it out from 3:50 to 4:00 when Holland flashes Herbie that subtle grin as if to say, “Damn, Bro!”
